In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Buckeye Bucks (Medina, OH), by a margin of 70-48.

The Shoremen (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Steele (Amherst, OH). The Comets go into the Southwestern outing with a 6-11 record. In their last outing, Steele was trounced by Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH), 86-63, in a non-league outing.

The Bucks now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Lakewood for a Great Lakes outing on Friday, February 3. Buckeye will encounter a Rangers squad coming off a 60-54 non-league loss to Elyria (Elyria, OH). The Rangers record now stands at 7-9.
