New York High School Softball - Peru bounces AuSable Valley

April 29, 2024: Clintonville, NY 12924

Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Nighthawks now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Moriah for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Peru will face a Vikings squad coming off a 11-5 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, AuSable Valley falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY) to face the Hornets in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Plattsburgh lost 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY)
