South Carolina High School Football - Laurens prevails Clinton
September 19, 2014: Clinton, SC 29325 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC) and the host Clinton Red Devils (Clinton, SC), observed Laurens's football squad defeat Clinton by a count of 24-7.
The Raiders now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Easley for a AAAA Region I contest on Friday, September 26. Laurens will play a Green Wave squad coming off a 30-25 non-league loss to Wren (Piedmont, SC). The Green Wave record now stands at 1-3.
Coming up next, the Red Devils play the Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) in a AAA Region III contest, on Friday, October 3. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Centurions go into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 34-27 non-league win over Newberry (Newberry, SC).
