Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX), 60-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Miller upgrades its record to 25-9 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout on Friday, February 8. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 11-17.
