Rankin Red Devils (Rankin, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), 75-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rankin upgrades its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Midessa (Odessa, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 13-9. Midessa won 58-47 in their recent league bout against Lubbock Titans (Lubbock, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Buena Vista Longhorns (Imperial, TX) in a 1A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 53-30 league win over Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX).
