Illinois High School Basketball - Highland Park nips St. Joseph
January 31, 2015: Highland Park, IL 60035 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL) and the visiting St. Joseph Chargers (Westchester, IL), saw Highland Park's basketball squad hold off St. Joseph by a count of 53-52.
With the victory, Highland Park upgrades its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Giants host Maine East (Park Ridge, IL) to play the Blue Demons in a Central Suburban - North challenge on Friday, February 6. The Blue Demons come into the challenge with a record of 8-11.
Next up, the Chargers play the St. Ignatius Wolfpack (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - North battle, on Friday, February 6. St. Joseph will attempt to improve on its 15-5 season record. The Wolfpack come into the battle with a 17-3 record after their 61-26 non-league win over Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL).
