In Friday's non-league outing, the Union Cougars (Roosevelt, UT) basketball squad felled the host Gunnison Valley Bulldogs (Gunnison, UT), by a margin of 59-47.

The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, American Prep WV was beaten by Bear River (Garland, UT), 66-62, in a non-league outing.
