Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) and the host Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), saw Pioneer's basketball squad overcome Roma by a tally of 53-38.

With the victory, Pioneer improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Diamondbacks travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX) to confront the Raiders in a 5A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North lost 68-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX)

Next up, the Gladiators confront the Incarnate Word Academy Angels (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Roma will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Angels come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 50-27 league win over Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX).
