Illinois High School Basketball - Carmel holds off Notre Dame
February 4, 2011: Mundelein, IL 60060 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) and the visiting Notre Dame Dons (Niles, IL), saw Carmel's basketball squad hold off Notre Dame by a score of 63-57.
With the victory, Carmel improves its record to 7-11 on the campaign. The Corsairs travel to Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL) to play the Roadrunners in a East Suburban Catholic challenge on Friday, February 11. The Roadrunners come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Nazareth Academy lost 55-43 in their recent league challenge against Catholic Academy (Joliet, IL)
Next up, the Dons play the Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic challenge, on Friday, February 11. Notre Dame will attempt to improve on its 15-5 season record. The Redwings come into the challenge with a 24-0 record after their 62-55 league win over Marist (Chicago, IL).
