Delaware High School Softball - William Penn bounces Archmere Academy
April 15, 2024: Claymont, DE 19703 William Penn Colonials (New Castle, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Archmere Academy Auks (Claymont, DE), 16-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Colonials now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newark for a Blue Hen - Flight A challenge on Wednesday, April 17. William Penn will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 25-8 non-league win over ASPIRA Charter (Newark, DE). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Archmere Academy falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Auks travel to First State Military Academy (Clayton, DE) to battle the Bulldogs in a Diamond State challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. First State Military Academy lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Sussex Academy (Georgetown, DE)
