Akron Rams (Akron, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Caliche Buffaloes (Iliff, CO), 43-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Akron upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Rams travel to Merino (Merino, CO) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 2. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Merino won 66-14 in their recent non-league bout against Caliche (Iliff, CO)

Next up, the Buffaloes clash with the Weldon Valley Warriors (Weldona, CO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 2. Caliche will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 33-26 non-league win over Flagler (Flagler, CO).
