Alabama High School Basketball - Jacksonville crushes Cherokee County
January 7, 2022: Centre, AL 35960 Jacksonville Golden Eagles (Jacksonville, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL), 87-57 in a league bout.
With the win, Jacksonville upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Ashville (Ashville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Area 10 bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Ashville lost 56-45 in their recent league bout against Etowah (Attalla, AL)
Next up, the Warriors play the Etowah Blue Devils (Attalla, AL) in a 4A Area 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Cherokee County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 85-36 non-league loss to Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL).
