London Pirates (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX), 64-50 in a league bout.

With the win, London upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 3A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, January 25. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 9-18.

Next up, the Badgers clash with the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions (Kingsville, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 31 bout, on Friday, January 18. Bishop will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 66-46 league win over Falfurrias (Falfurrias, TX).
