In Saturday's league match, the visiting Minden Whippets basketball team scored a good 42-26 triumph over the Valentine .

In their next game, the Whippets face the Ravenna Bluejays (Ravenna, NE) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 8. Minden will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Bluejays enter the match with a 5-5 record after their 55-51 non-league loss to Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE).

With the defeat, Valentine moves to 3-8 on the year. The travel to Winner (Winner, SD) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 8. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 7-0. Winner won 73-27 in their recent non-league match against Gregory (Gregory, SD)
