McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX), 55-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McKinney upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Lions travel to Houston (Arlington, TX) to encounter the Texans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 13. The Texans go into the bout with a record of 1-10. Houston lost 72-54 in their recent non-league bout against Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX)

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Carroll Dragons (Southlake, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 19. Argyle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 73-44 non-league win over Liberty Christian (Argyle, TX).
