North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Guilford holds off High Point Central
January 5, 2018: Greensboro, NC 27409 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) and the visiting High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), saw Northwest Guilford's basketball squad hold off High Point Central by a tally of 66-61.
With the victory, Northwest Guilford improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to North Cross (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. North Cross won 70-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwest Virginia Home School (Roanoke, VA)
Next up, the Bison confront the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. High Point Central will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Whirlies come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 53-35 league loss to Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC).
