Plattsmouth Blue Devils (Plattsmouth, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mercy Monarchs (Omaha, NE), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Plattsmouth upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Blue Devils host Blair (Blair, NE) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, December 10. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Monarchs play the Skutt Catholic SkyHawks (Omaha, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 7. Mercy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The SkyHawks go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 71-39 non-league win over Bishop Neumann (Wahoo, NE).
