Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ) and the visiting Bloomfield Tech Spartans (Bloomfield, NJ), saw Central's basketball squad knock off Bloomfield Tech by a count of 67-59.

With the victory, Central upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Shabazz (Newark, NJ) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Sunday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 5-2.

The Spartans now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to East Side for a Super Essex - American test on Friday, January 30.
