In Friday's non-league outing, the Granger Lions (Granger, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Valley Mills Eagles (Valley Mills, TX), by a margin of 54-50.

The Lions (4-8) will now prepare for their outing against Bartlett (Bartlett, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Region IV District 27 outing with a 6-8 record. In their last outing, Bartlett was tipped by Thorndale (Thorndale, TX), 72-45, in a league outing.
