Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Elkin Elks (Elkin, NC), 6-5 in a league test.

With the win, Ashe County upgrades its record to 3-10 on the season. The Huskies host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to battle the Rams in a Mountain Valley 1A/2A test on Thursday, April 4. The Rams come into the test with a record of 6-10. Starmount lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)

With the defeat, Elkin falls to 3-8 on the season. The Elks travel to Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to battle the Trojans in a Mountain Valley 1A/2A test on Thursday, April 4. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 2-10. Alleghany won 21-3 in their recent non-league test against Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA)
