In Thursday's league outing, the Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), by a count of 76-36.

The Golden Rams (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Mars (Mars, PA). The Fightin' Planets go into the WPIAL AAA 1 outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Mars smashed Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA), 40-32, in a non-league outing.
