Tennessee High School Basketball - Lenoir City can't hold off South-Doyle
February 1, 2024: Knoxville, TN 37920 The South-Doyle Cherokees basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Lenoir City Panthers to 59 in the Cherokees league triumph on Thursday.
The Cherokees now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Loudon for a 3A District 5 contest on Friday, February 2. South-Doyle will battle a Redskins team coming off a 78-49 non-league loss to Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN). The Redskins record now stands at 8-10.
The Panthers (4-14) will now prepare for their contest against Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN). The Chiefs enter the 3A District 5 contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Sequoyah was nudged by South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN), 46-33, in a league contest.
