The Homer Pelicans held off the host Minden Crimson Tide football team by a count of 33-26 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Homer upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Pelicans travel to General Trass (Lake Providence, LA) to encounter the Panthers in a 2A District 2 outing on Friday, September 16. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 2-0. General Trass won 49-18 in their recent non-league outing against Magnolia School of Excellence (Shreveport, LA)

With the loss, Minden moves to 0-2 on the season. The Crimson tide travel to North Webster (Springhill, LA) to encounter the Knights in a non-league outing on Friday, September 16. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 0-3. North Webster lost 40-18 in their recent non-league outing against North Caddo (Vivian, LA)
