Alabama High School Softball - Central of Coosa County holds off Verbena
April 4, 2016: Rockford, AL 35136 Central of Coosa County Cougars (Rockford, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Verbena Red Devils (Verbena, AL), 16-14 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Prattville Christian Academy for a 3A Area 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Central of Coosa County will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Reeltown (Notasulga, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 31-3.
