The Alleghany Cougars routed the visiting Glenvar Highlanders softball squad by a count of 24-1 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Buffaloes go into the battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Floyd County topped Radford (Radford, VA), 18-0, in a non-league battle.
