April 6, 2021: Greensburg, PA 15601 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) and the visiting Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA), saw Hempfield Area's lacrosse team gain a win over Freeport by a margin of 8-6.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Greater Latrobe (Latrobe, PA). The Wildcats enter the WPIAL 3A 1 challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Greater Latrobe was nudged by Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 20-4, in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, North Hills edged Gateway (Monroeville, PA), 12-1, in a non-league challenge.
