West Virginia High School Soccer - Parkersburg South knocks off Ripley

Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), 4-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 26. Parkersburg South will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH).

The Vikings now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Hill for a Coalfield AAA challenge on Saturday, August 26. Ripley will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 2-1 league win over Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-0.
