The Ponder Lions basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the host Valley View Eagles to 29 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whitesboro for a 3A Region II District 10 contest on Friday, January 14. Ponder will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 43-20 league win over Boyd (Boyd, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 20-6.

The Eagles (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX). The Rams come into the 3A Region II District 10 contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, S & S Consolidated triumphed over Paradise (Paradise, TX), 43-28, in a league contest.
