California High School Softball - Orange Lutheran bounces Trabuco Hills
March 13, 2012: Mission Viejo, CA 92691 Orange Lutheran Lancers (Orange, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Trabuco Hills Mustangs (Mission Viejo, CA), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Lancers now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Edison for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 14. Orange Lutheran will clash with a Chargers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Northwood (Irvine, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 4-0.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Cathedral Catholic Dons (San Diego, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 17. Trabuco Hills will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Dons come into the game with a 2-3 record after their 15-0 league win over La Jolla (La Jolla, CA).
Game Summary
Jade Vecvanags pitched a 2 hitter with 7 K's to lead Orange Lutheran over Trabuco Hills by a score of 13-1 in the quarterfinals of the Laguna Hills Tournament. Vecvanags was also 2 for 4 at the plate with a homerun and 2 RBI's. Alyssa Taylor, Olivia Sandusky and Hanna Boyd each had two hits for the Lancers as well. Madison Osias, Bryn Gornick and Noelle Wagner each had 2 RBI's for OLu. The Lancers will meet Edison in the semi-finals on Wednesday evening at Alicia Park in Mission Viejo.
