Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) and the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), saw Wilkes Central's basketball squad trounce Alleghany by a score of 66-34.

With the victory, Wilkes Central improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Starmount (Boonville, NC) to battle the Rams in a 2A/1A Conference 16 challenge on Tuesday, December 15. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Starmount lost 57-47 in their recent league challenge against Elkin (Elkin, NC)

Next up, the Trojans battle the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 16. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record.
