In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Portage Indians volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Merrillville Pirates.

The Indians (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against La Porte (La Porte, IN). The Slicers come into the Duneland battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, La Porte went down by Crown Point (Crown Point, IN), 3-1, in a league battle.
