The Winthrop Vikings basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Danvers Falcons to 56 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerville for a Northeastern - Small contest on Tuesday, January 16. Winthrop will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 62-54 league win over Medford (Medford, MA). The Highlanders record now stands at 4-3.

The Falcons (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Woburn Memorial (Woburn, MA). The Tanners enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Woburn Memorial ran past Lexington (Lexington, MA), 62-52, in a league contest.
