The West Carter Comets basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host Anderson County Bearcats to 44 in the Comets non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Carter for a District 62 contest on Thursday, December 29. West Carter will battle a Raiders team coming off a 59-56 non-league win over Paintsville (Paintsville, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 5-6.

The Bearcats (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY). The Rockets come into the District 30 contest with a 2-8 record.
