Minnesota High School Basketball - Irondale holds off Mounds View

January 28, 2022: Arden Hills, MN 55112

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN) and the host Mounds View Mustangs (Arden Hills, MN), saw Irondale's basketball squad hold off Mounds View by a tally of 64-61.

With the victory, Irondale improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Denfeld (Duluth, MN) to confront the Hunters in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 29. The Hunters go into the test with a record of 2-16. Denfeld lost 90-54 in their recent league test against Hermantown (Hermantown, MN)

The Mustangs now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Forest Lake for a non-league test on Thursday, February 3. Mounds View will encounter a Rangers squad coming off a 78-58 non-league loss to White Bear Lake (White Bear Lake, MN). The Rangers record now stands at 3-12.
