The Boardman Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Howland Tigers to 43 in the Spartans league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Austintown-Fitch for a All-American contest on Tuesday, February 1. Boardman will battle a Falcons team coming off a 65-54 non-league loss to Memorial (Campbell, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 5-11.

The Tigers (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Harding (Warren, OH). The Raiders come into the All-American contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Harding prevailed over Chaney (Youngstown, OH), 61-50, in a non-league contest.
