The Oakwood Owls basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Golden Valley Grizzlies to 32 in the Owls non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Owls now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chatsworth for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Oakwood will battle a Chancellors team coming off a 58-40 non-league win over Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA). The Chancellors record now stands at 10-2.

The Grizzlies (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Kennedy was edged by Van Nuys (Van Nuys, CA), 44-34, in a league bout.
