In Friday's non-league contest, the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Jaguars battle the Center Hill Mustangs (Olive Branch, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 6. DeSoto Central will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS).
