The Minden Whippets basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting North Central Knights to 21 in the Whippets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Whippets now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kearney Catholic for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Minden will battle a Stars team coming off a 50-44 non-league loss to Amherst (Amherst, NE). The Stars record now stands at 6-2.

The Knights (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. Paul (St. Paul, NE). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, St. Paul was routed by O'Neill (O'Neill, NE), 62-55, in a non-league contest.
