The Byrd Terriers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Northside Vikings to 59 in the Terriers league triumph on Friday.

The Terriers now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a AA Blue Ridge contest on Monday, January 31. Byrd will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 59-44 league win over Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 16-3.

The Vikings (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders enter the non-league contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Glenvar nudged Auburn (Riner, VA), 54-33, in a league contest.
