The Jesup J-Hawks basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Columbus Sailors to 44 in the J-Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The J-Hawks now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hudson for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 10. Jesup will battle a Pirates team coming off a 73-47 league win over BCLUW (Conrad, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 7-2.

The Sailors (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against South Hardin (Eldora, IA). The enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, South Hardin was nudged by AGWSR (Ackley, IA), 62-56, in a non-league contest.
