Maine High School Basketball - Richmond holds off Valley
January 24, 2023: Richmond, ME 04357 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Richmond Bobcats (Richmond, ME) and the visiting Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME), saw Richmond's basketball squad hold off Valley by a tally of 39-37.
With the victory, Richmond improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Islesboro Central (Islesboro, ME) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Islesboro Central lost 31-22 in their recent league challenge against Temple Academy (Waterville, ME)
Next up, the Cavaliers confront the Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME) in a D South challenge, on Friday, January 27. Valley will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 35-30 league win over North Haven (North Haven, ME).
