Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Haltom Buffalos (Haltom City, TX) and the host Timber Creek Falcons (Fort Worth, TX), saw Haltom's basketball squad hold off Timber Creek by a count of 48-45.

With the victory, Haltom upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Buffalos travel to V.R. Eaton (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. V.R. Eaton won 50-49 in their recent league challenge against Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX)
