Texas High School Basketball - Hidalgo nips Valley View
December 6, 2022: Hidalgo, TX 78557 Hidalgo Pirates (Hidalgo, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX), 51-48 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hidalgo upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX) to play the Leopards in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Leopards come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Van Vleck won 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Columbia (West Columbia, TX)
Next up, the Tigers play the Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Valley View will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 69-65 non-league loss to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX).
