Pennsylvania High School Soccer - South Allegheny held off by Ligonier Valley
August 28, 2023: McKeesport, PA 15133 The Ligonier Valley Rams held off the host South Allegheny Gladiators soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Monday's non-league match.
The Rams now own a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bentworth for a WPIAL A 2 game on Tuesday, August 29. Ligonier Valley will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Washington (Washington, PA). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-0.
The Gladiators (1-3) will now prepare for their game against East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA). The Wild Cats go into the WPIAL AA 1 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, East Allegheny nipped McKeesport (McKeesport, PA), 9-0, in a non-league game.
