Kentucky High School Basketball - Clay County over South Laurel
February 4, 2011: Manchester, KY 40962 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY) and the visiting South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), saw Clay County's basketball squad knock off South Laurel by a score of 72-63.
With the victory, Clay County improves its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY) to play the Mountaineers in a District 49 challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Oneida Baptist Institute lost 81-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Knott County Central (Hindman, KY)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. South Laurel will attempt to improve on its 11-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 18-6 record after their 55-46 non-league win over Allen Central (Eastern, KY).
