Arizona High School Baseball - St. Mary's defeats Westwood
March 29, 2012: Mesa, AZ 85201 St. Mary's Knights (Phoenix, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Westwood Warriors (Mesa, AZ), 9-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Central (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Bobcats in a I Section I contest on Monday, April 2. The Bobcats enter the contest with a record of 3-8. Central lost 6-1 in their recent league contest against Browne (Phoenix, AZ)
The Warriors now sport a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to McClintock for a I Section III contest on Tuesday, April 3. Westwood will play a Chargers squad coming off a 12-3 non-league loss to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Chargers record now stands at 4-16.
