Illinois High School Volleyball - Lyons tips Downers Grove South

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Lions battle the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a West Suburban contest, on Tuesday, April 9. Lyons will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Huskies go into the contest with a 9-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Proviso West (Hillside, IL).

With the loss, Downers Grove South moves to 3-6 on the year. The Mustangs host Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to battle the Hilltoppers in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 6. The Hilltoppers go into the contest with a record of 4-0. Glenbard West won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL)
