Arizona High School Soccer - Thunderbird held off by Cortez
December 5, 2017: Phoenix, AZ 85051 The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Thunderbird Chiefs (Phoenix, AZ), saw Cortez's soccer squad get by Thunderbird by a margin of 1-0.
The Colts now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Prescott for a non-league test on Thursday, December 7. Cortez will meet a Badgers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Badgers record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Thunderbird drops to 2-2 on the season. The Chiefs host Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ) to meet the Sentinels in a 4A Desert Sky test on Thursday, December 7. The Sentinels come into the test with a record of 1-2. Seton Catholic lost 8-1 in their recent non-league test against Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ)
