February 2, 2024: Potomac, MD 20854 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD) and the host Churchill Bulldogs (Potomac, MD), saw Wootton's basketball squad overcome Churchill by a tally of 64-55.
With the victory, Wootton improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD) to confront the Wildcats in a Montgomery 4A/3A Central challenge on Monday, February 5. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Walter Johnson lost 66-47 in their recent league challenge against Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD) in a Montgomery 4A/3A Central challenge, on Monday, February 5. Churchill will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 14-3 record after their 67-51 non-league win over Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD).
