In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) baseball squad nipped the visiting Richmond Red Devils (Richmond, IN), by a margin of 9-8.

With the win, Monroe Central betters its record to 17-3 on the season. The Golden Bears travel to Randolph Southern (Lynn, IN) to encounter the Rebels in a Mid-Eastern challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Randolph Southern lost 17-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN)
